What is the meaning of Lucifer?
- The shinning one, the morning star!
- The bearer of light
- Lucifer was created full of wisdom and perfect in beauty
- Isaiah 14:12, Ezekiel 28:12
Who was Lucifer?
- Lucifer was the anointed cherub who covers!
- Lucifer was the top (most special) angel of God
- Cherubim are personal bodyguards to God, Ezekiel 10
- God rides upon the cherub, Psalm 18:10
Where was Lucifer before he fell?
- Lucifer was in Heaven!
- Lucifer was in Eden above
- Lucifer was in the Garden of God
- Lucifer was in the holy mountain of God
- Lucifer was in Mount Zion
- Lucifer was in New Jerusalem
- Lucifer was in a city full of precious stones and transparent gold
- Ezekiel 28:13, Hebrews 11:10, 12:22, Revelation 21:18-20
Why did Lucifer fall?
- He became full of himself (pride and selfishness)!
- He wanted to steal the glory God deserves and keep it for himself
- He wanted to steal the honour God deserves and keep it for himself
- He wanted to steal the praise God deserves and keep it for himself
- He wanted to steal the portion God deserves (the tithe) and keep it for himself
- He wanted to be like God: independent and self-serving; He wanted to be his own god!
- He wanted God’s blessings (the creation) without submission (obedience) to God’s Word
- He took God for granted and thought he could do better for himself; in trying to be too smart, he became foolish
- Are you taking God for granted?

What is the proper definition of Sin?
- Sin is rebellion against (the Word of) God!
- Only God is good and right; you cannot be good and right without God
- Romans 3:10-12
- All your goodness + Rebellion against God = Evil
- Having it your way without due regard to the Word of God is idolatry
- God is a jealous God, He will not accept second place in your life
- The opposite of submission is rebellion; if you’re not submitting to God’s Word, you’re rebelling against it
- The solution to rebellion is quick repentance and obedience (uproot the seed of rebellion quickly before it produces a sure harvest)
What is the destiny of Lucifer?
- Lucifer sinned and became Satan (the devil)!
- Lucifer has been judged into spiritual darkness and he cannot repent
- The current destiny of Satan is ‘tempter and adversary’ to mankind
- The future destiny of Satan is Hades (The Bottomless Pit for 1,000 yrs during the millennial reign of Christ)
- The final destiny of Satan is Gehenna (The Lake of Fire and Brimstone, for all eternity)
