Title: *|FNAME|*, Put Your Shoes On!

Dear *|FNAME|*,

The Lord is your portion in the land of the living. He is your shield and defender. He is your glory and the lifter of your head. Your life is moving forward in Jesus’ Name (Psalm 16:5-6).

Many times, believers fall short of God’s best for their lives. This is usually because of a wrong attitude! Your attitude is the current orientation of your heart. An attitude of pride and dishonour towards the church of God, the man of God or the things of God can short-change you of God’s best. The right attitude is always ‘humility and obedience’, for this is the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5-11).

*|FNAME|*, do you have your shoes on or are you walking about bare-footed? Shoes are important for stability, protection and beauty.  The Bible makes us to understand that our spiritual shoe is the readiness to proclaim the gospel (Ephesians 6:15).

In other words, your readiness to be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ in all you say and do gives you spiritual stability as you walk through the challenges and temptations of life (1 Peter 3:15). Furthermore, your public testimony as a true believer grants you spiritual protection against the dirty tricks of the devil (Revelation 12:11).  Moreover, proclaiming the Good News of Salvation makes you fruitful and adds colour to your Christian walk – it gives you spiritual beauty (Isaiah 52:7). The Bible says that he who wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30).

*|FNAME|*, you are the representative of Christ on the earth! (2 Corinthians 5:20). Without Christ, thousands are on their way to hell (eternal damnation). Their goodness cannot save them; only the blood of Jesus is sufficient.  But how can they believe if they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent (empowered spiritually and financially)?  (Romans 10:14-15)

When you hand out a gospel tract on the street, you are sowing good seed. When you invite someone to Church, you are sowing good seed. When you pray for the salvation of your local community and city, you are sowing good seed. When you pay your tithe faithfully, you are empowering the work of the ministry. Take advantage of every opportunity you have (using God’s wisdom) to advance the gospel. I tell you the truth, great will be your reward!
