Title: *|FNAME|*, This is the Ultimate!

Dear *|FNAME|*,

The Lord is your light and salvation. He will make a way for you even when there seems to be no way. He is able to do exceedingly more than you ask or think! (Isaiah 43:19).

*|FNAME|*, what is the ultimate thing in life? Is it Money? Beauty? Fashion? Comfort? Pleasure? Family? Friends? Guilder (alcohol, beer)? 1 Timothy 6:10 says that the love of money is a root of all evil: it will make you commit idolatry and immorality (lukewarmness, covetousness, lying, cheating, stealing, and manipulating). Proverbs 31:30 says that charm is deceitful and beauty is vain: outward beauty does not last forever; it will fade away with time and age.

The pursuit of comfort and pleasure is a foundation for all works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). Family and friends can disappoint, mislead or forsake you. Indulgence in alcohol will intoxicate and depress you; it will lift you up and slam you down! (Proverbs 20:1). The ultimate thing is that which will continuously add value to your life and make it count forever.

*|FNAME|*, 1 Corinthians 13:13 shows us that there are three things that will last forever: faith, hope and love. However, we’re not talking about human faith (based on sight and experience), human hope (based on wishes and optimism) and human love (based on reason and emotion). Human faith, hope and love are of little spiritual value.

However, the God-kind of Faith is conviction and confidence based on God’s Word (God said it, I believe it, and that settles it). The God-kind of Hope is a sure and steadfast expectation of Salvation (Rapture – Resurrection – Heavenly Rewards – Perfection – Paradise). The God-kind of Love is selfless and overflowing compassion (pouring out your life to bless others because of Jesus). These three things will last forever but the greatest of these is Love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

What is the most outstanding characteristic of divine Love? Love is patient! (1 Corinthians 13:4). It has been said that patience is the virtue of all virtues. Imagine what would happen if God was impatient with you! The more you grow in love, the more patient you will become. Your love walk is the most important proof of your spiritual maturity.

*|FNAME|*, the ultimate thing in life is to be motivated by God’s Love. However, you cannot do this in the power of your flesh. You have to receive God’s Love into your heart first and then release it to others by faith. How can you achieve this? Through genuine fellowship, consistent prayer and simple obedience to the Word and Spirit (Ephesians 3:17-19).

All your good deeds will count for nothing before God if they are being motivated by pride (ego, rebellion and disobedience) and selfishness (selfish ambition, selfish gain, self-recognition and self-righteousness). The only works that will survive the judgement seat of Christ are those motivated by Faith, Hope and Love (2 Corinthians 5:10).

*|FNAME|*, the way to make the most of your life is to continuously live by Faith, walk in Love and watch in Hope (1 Thessalonians 1:3).
