HELP IN HIS NAME

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.  – Psalm 20:7-8

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you feel so powerless and helpless? Such situations can make you feel lonely and dejected. However, don’t ever forget that you have Jesus Christ, who has promised to never leave nor forsake you. Even when it seems that all options have failed, God is able to see you through. All you need do is to call upon the Name of the Lord your God. Ask Him to help you. Wait upon Him for inspiration and direction. Make supplication in the Name of Jesus. Say to yourself boldly: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear (Hebrews 13:5-6).

Some people put their trust in the arm of flesh. They are confident in their money, skills and personal connections. However, the arm of flesh will fail ultimately. Only God can lift you to stand and remain standing upright. Psalm 50:14-15 says you are to offer unto God thanksgiving, and to pay your vows to Him. As you do this, you can be confident to call upon Him in the day of trouble. He shall deliver you for He knows that you will honour and glorify Him. Say to yourself: I have help; my help is in the Name of the Lord.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.  – Psalm 124:8

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You because I can come boldly before You in the Name of Jesus. Thank You because You are my very own Father, and you love me dearly. I receive wisdom and boldness to pray effectively, in Jesus’ Name.
