Why is my body important to God?

  • You function for God in this world through your body

Why should I present my body well unto God, according to Romans 12:1-2?

How can I present my body well unto God, according to Romans 12:1-2?

  • You need to abstain from alcohol and other harmful recreational drugs

  • You need to sacrifice worldly lusts and pride, 1 John 2:15-17

What is modesty and moderation, according to 1 Tim. 2:9-10 and 1 Pet. 3:3-5?

  • Don’t overfocus on the promotion, decoration or indulgence of self
  • Beware of pride, vanity and idolatry!Exodus 20:1-6
  • Don’t allow makeup, jewellery and other adornment to dominate you – use them in moderation, otherwise they will become your idols, 1 John 5:21
  • Cover your body properly – keep your private regions private!
  • Don’t expose any part of your breasts and/or cleavage in public

  • Keep your body pristine (pure and clean) for God’s glorious use, Romans 12:1-2
  • Abstain from getting body-piercings and/or tattoos – avoid anything that will deface, damage or degrade your body, 2 Timothy 2:21
  • Avoid excessive adornment; avoid effeminate adornment; avoid extreme adornment!

What does it mean to be effeminate, according to 1 Corinthians 6:9 KJV?

  • Effeminate – a man presenting like a woman (or a woman presenting like a man). This is often expressed in dressing, hairdo and/or bodily adornment
